Desperately seeking steering bushing.

Need to get my car going for the weekend. I need a gearshift support spacer ...from a column shift manual..may be the same though regardless of manual or auto? Its a nylon bushing from behind the lever housing... supports the gearshift control tube: the bushing fills the gap between the column housing and the control tube.
It's a specific piece so my basic skills on a lathe won't suffice to make a new one.
HELP! If anyone has, and can get it to me by the weekend (middle of saturday deadline), i'll pay a lot more than the part is worth.
Trying the wreckers tomorrow, but would love a backup plan.
