hey guys. before i ask my question i just wanna note that if my question sounds stupid or is stupid. i appologise, im just starting to learn about cars and stuff as ive just become interested in them.

now
with extractors if im to put them diy onto a vt commodore will it bugger up any of the onboard computers?

again sorry if this is a stupid question, im just learning.

Hi Jack.

It wont "bugger up any of the onboard computers", but to be done properly, the engine ECU will need reprogramming, to retain good drivability & engine life.

When extractors are fitted the resulting exhaust will be too lean, so the fuel map

is this the same with cat-back systems?
can you DIY them or is it best to get them fitted too?
