will heat wrap around my muffler help stop the noisey drown i get inside the cab of my hq ute ?i have fitted sound proof underlay under the carpet and around the cab still i get this din cheers

thanks vintage i have no room to fit asmaller muffler behind the main one a gas tank takes up the space would one in front do as good a job ?

thats a problem with all proper utes the quater panels amplifiy the sound
you just have to live with it
Don't put tar in the panels it gets rust under it.

Dont put tar in the panels it gets rust under it.

iv got the same sort of problem. Iv found it easyest to just turn the stereo up more.

Im not sure what the problem is - isnt that why you have a V8 in the first place. My cousin had a HZ ute with extractors, twin system and a single hot dog on each pipe, no mufflers - even the stereo didnt drown that out - it was the eighties though!

change your main muffler to a quieter unit.

thanks all i will try another muffler in front of the main if that doesent work i will have to change the main its the fact i tinnitus and this drone is sending me deaf
