Hi Guys.

Has anyone but me noticed the anomaly in the points score system.

Firstly, I am a Holden fan (obviously), but how or why did the Skaife/Tander pair win the round at Phillip Island if the Lowndes/Whincup pair got more points (252 vs 258).

The reason that I ask, is that I have a running bet with a mate who is a F@#d fan. If a Holden wins the round, he buys me a bottle of Scotch or Bourbon. If a F@#d wins. I buy him a bottle. Get the gist?

Anyway, he is refusing to pay up this week, because he says that a Ford won the round.

Who is in the right?

Dr Terry.

I dont understand it either Dr Terry. It was much easier to follow before it became over regulated. The guy who won the race won the round, collected the most points.Used to be simple.
Cheers.

quite simply, the main race on sunday is the one that counts for the round, hrt won the 500, hence the round.

The 2 saturday races were for points, yet dont count for the actual event as far as podiums are concerned.

The same thing occurs on any rac

Yeah, I agree with robbo, it used to be easy to follow, but even with the adelaide 500 who ever wins the sunday race, wins the round. Doesn,t matter who has the most points. apparently they are changing the sprint round race formats again next year and t
