got a few questions about buying wrecks at auctions
where in melbourne can i go (i only know of pickles)
what is the going price for a 5L VN/VP auto?
is it worth buying a wreck? would i be better to just buy an engine/tranny/loom/ECU from a wrecker or something?
im looking into doing a conversion into HQ

Pretty sure you have Fowles there as well WWW.FOWLES.COM.AUFor my money that is the only way to go, you have every part available no running about trying to find connectors or plugs or little bits. You can sell what you don't use maybe get couple of hu

I would recommend buying from an auction. I bought a damaged V6 VP two weeks for $450. It looked like it was a good well looked after car prior to the accident. A wrecker would have wanted $1000 for the engine alone. Chances are the wrecke

Just had a look at Melbourne Fowles. They have a few V8s there one is a stautory write off you get them a bit cheaper because they can't be re-registered,so the backyarders don't want them, it looks from the photo to have been burnt inside all the outer p
