Hi, i have a xb ute with a problem auto gearbox. Im going to get another auto and have it checked over maybe recoed and then swap over so ute is not off the road for long. Which is the better auto?? Ute is 351C pretty standard. Anyone know a website that identifies the differance between the gearboxs.

Thanks: 1 times
It will most likely be a C4 or an FMX. Go with a C4 and you can't go too wrong. Cheap to build, strong and reliable.. Simply do a google search on these boxes and there should be plenty of info out there.

351 XB ute's were 2 barrel carb and came with a C4 auto. the C4 has a alloy case, and the FMX is cast iron. the FMX went behind 351 4 barrel's.
