Just want to find out in inches how much shorter is a ute crossmember in comparison to sedan. A friend has told me 4.5 inches shorter. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks.

Factory TH400 example also has flat plates welded across the bottom ridges about halfway between the centre and the ends on each side. If it doesnt have these it
