i am in the process of renewing the grill and head light surrounds could someone help. is the grill originally anodised silver and who is the best to do this including the chroming of the other parts
Am in Sydney

yes the grill is anodised aluminium (no color - clear). Anodizing is a fairly simple process but the hk grille composition means they smut up and pit fairly badly when stripped of their old ano so you need to find someone fairly experienced with old parts

I asked this question earlier and the fact is you will not get a good & lasting chrome plating job done in NSW beause of OH&S laws. You will need to send your stuff to the ACT or VIC SA QLD etc.

There is a place in Queanbeyan NSW called Finke <SP?> anodizing.
They do a lovely job.
If at first you dont succeed then skydiving is not |

just got my grill back from the anodisers.
it didnt turn out as i hoped and did come back pitted from the anodising process.Apprently they corrode from the inside out.
will try to get it plated in a satin type finish in chrome and see how that works.
