I have a V8 Hq ute in storage for few years. I have had conflicting comments about whether tot leave the water with anti corrosion inhibitor in, or to drain it??

If we leave it in should we regularly start ign the motor - or just leave until we are ready to register,

thanks for your help

when I was racing boats (70s)some of the racers there would
drain their engines and fill with diesel during off season
might be expensive now though

I have heard from people that leaving your cooling system drained can cause an issue when it comes time to refill it because scale and rust particles become loose from the internal water chambers after drying up then causing it all to travel to you radiat

my l34 motor sat for 10 years with its water system full to the cap with distilled water only. it was crystal clear when i drained it. i knocked the welsh plugs out as soon as i released the water and pressure cleaned inside. came up a 1 clean. cheers
