does anyone know how to bleed the air out of a typical hydraulic ram on an engine hoist? its one of those cheap japanese ones. release valve at the bottom next to the slave cylinder and its got a rubber cap on the side of the ram near the top. thanks guys, any help appreciated.

Is this a new one?
The rubber cap is where you fill it with oil.
Typically, it should be filled to this level with the ram collapsed.
