i am considering putting an rb30 out of a vl commodore/ r31 skyline into my vc wagon. the car is currently 6cyl 3.3l tri-matic auto and i want to manualise it, i am looking at a vl 5 speed sedan write off as a donor.
what will i need to do to make this all fit and work happily? can i unpick mounts, cross members etc and have them re-welded in and bolt it all up or is there much more to it than that?
will the diff need changing considering a v8 lsd Salisbury from vk will this work?
have found plenty of info on putting engine into early holdens but am not sure if mine is classified as early holden as the body is much the same as the vl which the motor comes from.
any help apreciated cheers.

In fact this is the way I replace most engines by dropping them out the bottom still bolted to the k member as it potentially sav Edited by user Thursday, 30 October 2008 10:18:44 PM(UTC)
