Hi all,
Going to be towing a 15ft caravan with my 6cyl EL wagon this weekend. I'm guessing it would be easier on the engine to tow with the economy switch off so the auto changes at higher revs, am I on the right 'think pattern' here?

I would leave it in economy and flick to power when you need it thats my opinion.

Yeah just use the power button when you need it. maybe just when you are taking off from a standing start or going up a hill, passing etc. Just see how the falcon behaves. They are a pretty torquey motor even without the power button switched on.

You located the switch then. I would use "Power" in towns and up those long hills that cause 4 speed autos to change 3-4-3-4 repeatedly (or keep it in third on them). Economy is better on Flat highway.
My Old EF managed to tow a laden car trailer f |
