hi, need help, loking to buy a hj gts two door that needs full resto, not to much rust,350cc, 4speed, bloke wants around 10,000, is this a reasonable price, and are parts easy to come buy if needed.thanks for any help,steve

Hj GTS coupes are rare, 350 would not be original as 308 was the biggest motor avail in that model.
window stainless is very hard to get and pricey so make sure its all there including windscreen mouldings as the tops and uprights differ from sedan.

Here in NZ, warranted and regoed HJ - HZ 4 door GTSs change hands for around $15K (~$12K Aus). Primo examples fetch around the $35-40K mark. I havent seen an HJ 2 door for sale for a looong time.

thanks, sounds like it might be okay, had a look at a genuine hq ss the other day,old bloke has owned since new, good con, had paint job back in 80"s for paint had sun damage but he was still in two minds to sell,does not need the money, think paint is ra

whilst a ultra violet HQ SS is probably the rarest of the SS family a HJ coupe is an even rare beast. A nice restored SS imo would fetch about $20k... the same resto on a HJ Coupe would make it worth $30K and up

Go the coupe. HJ GTS may not be the prettiest coupe, but it certainly is one of the rarest. In my opinion they actually look better than the HJ LS and HX LE as the single headlight front looks more minimalist than the twin HJ-HZ front which suits the HQ c
