Sorry this might be a dumb question but do 1984 VKs have a vin and chassis number and if so where would it be i cant find it in the engine bay anywhere

VK Chassis number is stamped on the top of the LH strut tower, and can be read while standing beside the LHF wheel.
It will be AVKxxxxxxM, AVKxxxxxxA, BVKxxxxxxM or BVKxxxxxxA - the xxxxxx being 6 numbers.

The same chassis number is on the compliance
