converting my HK to 4 wheel disc using HQ front & WB disc brake diff. i need disc/disc master cylinder & proportioning valve, is there anything else i need ?

You can also use a disc drum master cylinder and modify it. Or rebuild your booster using the front bit off a late UC and run a Commodore master cylinder.
How are you managing to shorten the diff housing and axles?

ther`s only 25mm difference between HK & WB diffs which i am getting around with different back space on my wheels. to shorten by 25mm was going to cost over $1500.

If that is the case you could also try a VB-VK 5 litre diff which is about the same amount narrower. Youd just have to redrill the stud pattern or run Commodore front stud pattern.

Have just completed the vb diff conversion into HT easier than most jobs although I havent figured out how to lengthen the hand brake cable.Is there one that goes close?

The VN handbrake cable is longer than the VB one. Cheers.

the vb-vk v8 diff is a good idea (that i didn`t think of) but i only recently bought the wb one so that will have to do me. do you know of anydramas settingup the hand brake etc ?

Sorry Jay don,t know the configration of WB diff but VB is basically the same as HT where the cable attaches to the transmission crossmember. The only problem is VB cable is a bit short.

Check clearance of WB calipers and handbrake brackets to HT leaf springs. Disc brake diffs wont fit into HQ-WB commercials for this reason. Commodore will work as they have integral handbrake drum.
