Greetings all,

I am trying to sell a 1984 WB onetonner.. (All original, excellent lines, magnificent condition...) and the question wa asked is it a Trimatic gearbox.
I assumed yes but am now finding out possibly not.
Can anyone tell me, if it isnt trimatic, what would it be? It has a 253 in it, and it's column shift 3 speed... i assumed trimatic.
How could i tell?

Many Thanks

Just look at which side the shifter linkage is on.
On trimatics its on the drivers side.
On TH 350 & 400 its on the passenger side.
If it is a TH box, a 350 has a cable connected to the carb/throttle for the kickdown, 400 doesnt. it has an electric ki

Feel the top trans bolts on your block,if they are right at the top its a tri .If they are about 2 inches down from the top of the block its a turbo .Being a 253 ..95 % =trimatic crude method but easy.(as far as i know this is how i tell, after mistakes !
