Folks,

Heating in HJ was a bit stuck (had hot to windscreen - thats all).

Doing a bit of an engine out exercise, so thought I would pull interior for a bit of a tidy.

The heater/ducting seems fine - all flaps present and operational (one seems a little loose in terms o dropping down, but will sort that with a split pin or two.

There are three control cables. One long one from hot/cold which had an adjustment turnbuckle i nthe sheath. two shorter ones, one of which controlled the direction but seems to have far too little actual travel.

Do these cables often bind, and can the outers be shortened to increase the amount of available travel? (Or do I need to switch the two short ones)?
