i have a 1 tonner with a 5 litre and manual trans. ive been wanting to swap over to an auto trans for a little while now. how hard is this to do? i can get hold of a good auto trans to put in but just need an idea on what else i would need to do the swap and what anything else that needs to be done. any help would be great. cheers

hi mate aint a hard swap but what trans you putting in? and check your block as it can be a turbo patten basicly its gear box crossmember pedal box shifter tailshaft flex plate and dont forget to remove your thurst bearing from the back of the motor

thanks for the help. i m fairly sure its a turbo block so i will be going for a turbo 400 trans with a b&m shifter. so all i need is gearbox tailshaft crossmember shifter flex plate what is the pedal box? thanks

you have to remove the spigot bush from the crank and put that locater in the back of the crank were you spigot bush was for you torque convertor. you auto pedal is wider then a manual but it still works so you just remove your clutch pedal. you will hav |
