Wondering, if I put a red motor in the old EK, and run a standard Trimatic, what is the best ratio diff? I have seen people put 3.36 and 3.55 and 3.08 in them? I will be mainly using the car for a daily driver in Brisbane (hilly country), with annual trip away towing a caravan, and work requires me to tow a lightish 6*4 trailer every day?
I really am now confused! every one seems to suggest something different?

the best allrounder would be the 3.08 , it will still give good take off speed and its not to tall for hwy use , I`m doing the change on my van from a 3.55 to a 3.08 for better economy hwy use but it will still be good for the city.

3.08 will be fine with a Trimatic. Just don't decide to use an M20 4-speed manual with the 3.08. Make sure you use a good transmission oil cooler.
