Holden - Its as Australian as meat pies and Kangaroos...and they've just turned 60.

A special feature will be shown on Channel 9 celebrating Holden; Saturday 6th December at 4:30pm (check local TV guide for any variations)

Thanks Leith, had a look but was disappointed with the HK section. No mention of the V8 intro and the first Monaro. 60 years is a long time but, there are some milestones to be celebrated by the actual Holden fan.

Pathetic. I realised it was going to be a clueless puffpiece as soon as Deborah Hutton introduced it and was the compere. For those who dont know her she is a long ago model who now contains more plastic than a Commodore dashboard and has all the relevanc

I agree, I was very disappointed.
They raved on about the VB commodore, then skipped straight to VN & raved about it.
The only airtime the VL got was 5 seconds of the yacht ad during the closing credits....

I would assume they did that as VC-VL were

half of it looked like it was pulled straight off youtube, I was suprised that the Brougham got no mention at all nor did the LE, and I too felt is was a infomerical with hutton at the wheel, no wonder it got a 5pm saturday arvo time slot from win TV.

I was also disappointed and was ready to go back to the garage after they skipped through 30 years of cars in about 10 minutes then it was a advertisement for Commodores. Very ordinary

Greetings,

The show was excellent. It was an informative trip through the last 60 years of vehicles produced by GM Holden. It is obvious that many do not know that Chairman and Managing Director Mark Reuss owns a black 1951 Holden just like mine and ce

Not even a mention on the great starfire 4.
I thought this was going to be holdens life blood.
Holdens predictions were that half of commodores sold would be starfire 4.
After all we were suppose to be running out of fuel back then.

Great response from AVID 9000. The show was very entertaining to Holden fans and others who may not own a Holden. I find it interesting how it was on at the same time as the V8 racing.

The show looked at the best of Holden over 60 years. That is clearl
