has anyone converted a ute to a tonner and if so a few tips would be handy cheers

I did one years ago.
i cut it down where the pillar hits the tarp down to the sill.
I them put a 2WD hilux tray on it.

It looked crap.

To do well, need to cut thru roof to sill to get correct lines.

Its not that hard to convert a ute cabin into a tonner, but youll need the 2 x 1-tonner quarters. What you have to do is (by unpick I mean drill out spot welds):

Remove the ute cabin/body from the ute chassis and throw the ute chassis away;
