Hi...my car seems to over heat and chew more fuel than usual,and its very noticable. does any one know wat the problem is? where can i get it fixed and how much would it cost? Could it be a mal-function in the ecu? The car is not running rich because we have tested the car and there is no black smoke coming from the exhaust at all...Any replys would be greatly appreciated

Check your brakes for drag. One may be stuck on.

Thanks for that bill, do u know where i can check this out, any ford dealer should do?...This maybe the problem accept, im pretty sure that the engine doesnt seem to struggle or drive as if it is restricted, but still drives the same as when there was no

A Ford dealer (or enigine specialist) should be able to test the oil pressure for you. This seems to be really common with the Fords, both sixes and eights. It could depend on the quality and grade of your oil as you said it improved after the oil change?

When you have been for a drive and stopped, check each wheel near the hub for heat. If one brake is sticking it will be hotter than the others. If you wait too long all the wheels heat up. Or u could jack each wheel up and see it turns fairly freely, ther
