Hi Everyone Just a quick question I am buying a new car from a dealership for 15200 with my trade anyway my question is this. I have a vr commodore acclaim its got 245000 on the clock it is lowered has rear wing 16 inch walkinshaw rims with new tyes overall good looking car anyway the dealer offerered me 1200 bucks this seems so low in price. I dont want to sell the thing privately cause it has its fair share of electrical probs that I just dont want to fix anyone offer any advice please.

Youre lucky to be offered that as a trade in these days!
Lower km, and better equipped V6 VR Berlinas & Calais are selling privately for less than $3K (at least in Sydney they are, probably get more $$ in country areas).

I traded a VR wagon on gas 12mths ago in SA and got $1800. on a $6999 VT. So 1200 is about the going rate. Take off your mags it wont affect the value as a trade in.

Thats pretty good if it has electrical problems. Ive seen VS Statesmans with less than 200k go for $3grand. Vrs with mags are a dime a dozen these days and dealers have no hope of selling them. Theyll send it off to a clearance yard and be thankful if the
