I am not sure if it will help you now or not but the Bosch part number for the rotor is 9 231 064 316 and it is listed as being the same for holden 6 cyl HK-HZ LC-LX and VB and ford 6cyl XY-XD and TC-TE as well. Cheers Paul.

I think one of the Falcons had a hall effect dissy before they went to the Bosch Fairchild system. XD? XE?
Would it be possible to fit the chopper wheel to another rotor? The rotor it's self may be common?

The rotors do look to be the same as a std one but to swap it and correctly align it afterwards would be fairly difficult to do. I run one of these types of dissy in my car myself because in the middle of the bush if the electrics side of this unit fail Edited by user Sunday, 11 January 2009 7:02:51 AM(UTC)

Many thanks. I have now come to that conclusion after many hours of trudging around auto sparkies, and trawling the net.
I am planning a V8 upgrade soon, so this will give me another reason to move that plan along.
Thanks again for your help.

The final word from BOSCH.
We would like to advise: The part you require is no longer available. It was discontinued some years ago. You may need to speak with an ignition specialist about getting a rebuild or equivalent.
Please do not hesitate
