hi can anyone tell me how to
tell the difference between chev and holden rods
while there still in the engine?

chev rods are 5.7 inches and standard holden are 5.62 in length, the large journal width is mush wider on a chev i cant remeber large journel diameter diferance but the chev 283 and 302 rods and small journel 327 rods is 2 inch diameter. maybe the stadar |

ok so which ones had the x stamped on the beam?
or is that only L34/A9L 308 rods? |

X is L34 holden and A9L have 3/8 studs insded of 7/16 and above the journel on the beam you will see a line in the center of the casting cast into it its about 10-15mm long. you can see what i mean if you put a standard HQ rod beside a A9L rod. A9l rods |
