Hi I am repairing a Queensland built Falcon 500 sedan and I needed some new floor pans.
I purchased some a while back now and went to see how they fit (before I cut out the old) and they are nothing like the ones in my car the pressed grooves are wrong and the replacement pan has the accomodation for two drain holes to be put in where mine has only one.

So I looked at my wagon pan and its the same as =the vehicle I am doing up.
I took the pans back to route 66 and they have been helpful as ever I was just wondering what info was available and why ford Australia ran different dies in different parts of the country as I know your parts are pressed off the originals? Cheers Dane.

Hi Dane
We did not make this die it was part of the purchase of Better Fit Panels a company we brought some 8years ago. We have compared them to a couple of local cars and yes they are different, we think they maybe XD rear floors. We will remake the rear floor pans to suit XR - XY; this will take some time. In the mean time we will leave the current ones on the market as we have sold 100s for those people that need them urgently. We believe they will fit even though they do not have the same ridges in them. It could take up to 6 month before we have new floor pans for XR-XY rear
Thanks Dane for pointing the problem out to us.
Les
