What do you think? A truck driving family friend who is in his late 50s has enginees certificates, buit hot rods and collects the odd muscel car recons this year is the year to buy a HSV GTS and put it away on the basis that a recession is looming and a very limited amount will be made. Whats your thoughts? (as I sit and waite for an answer on my V8 delema lol)

Im not really interested in the new ones but I do think its a good time to get a collectible car. Lots of stuff seems to be getting passed in if you look at ebay and shannons and some people also seem extra keen to sell. After I change jobs mid year Im go

GTS coupe is probably the one to have. 4-door versions will probably never pull the same money.

The 427 coupe will. The W427 may be collectable, but it costs a fortune to start with. Maybe one day... Problem is if Holden build another coupe and make a W427 coupe, then the 4 door will always play second fiddle. Just like the VX GTS does to the V2 GTS |

yeah but the thing that made the "new "coupe was the usa market and thier suffering/ caused this "recession" so i doubt it will happen again even the prospect of us getting the comaro looks doubtful or even of getting a gm car if you believe the fear

sadly when the juice runs out our cars will be ten deep at the tip. By the time the new Monaros reach the status of KTG in 20 to 25 years we will have no fuel, no fuel no cars.

Alcohol comes from Sugar, and theres no way theres enough Dirt in the world to grow enough Cane to switch the worlds Motor industry to Alcohol. Imagine the price of Sugar if this happened... Better start buying CSR Shares....eh? Same goes for Vege Oils.
