After swapping cams and putting the X2 setup on, id been getting oil spewing from the dipstick at high revs. Most people told me that 202's do that and not to worry, but it had never done it before. I figured it may have been because the manifold has no PCV port, so i ran the valve to one of the air cleaners and it may not have enough vacuum.
What it actually was, as i found after a little research, was that i'd thrown a new oil filler cap on, the later style, cause i was told "it's just a cap, they're all the same" when my local parts store couldn't offer me one like i had on there already.
They're not. The old style red caps (sort of mushroom shaped)are vented, the later style (sort of pancake shaped) are not. To use the later style, you need the rocker cover with two ports, one PCV, one to air cleaner. The older style single port covers need to use the vented oil cap.
So i cleaned my old one, made a new seal (the reason i got a new one in the first place) and put it on. Hey presto, problem solved.

Sorry that i fixed it, would you like a dollar anyway? Haha. You certainly deserve it!
For someone with experience, like you, this is a no-brainer. For someone learning the art like me, its a success. Im just annoyed that its the second or third time |
