All,

In recent times, this forum has provided many hours of interesting debate on the subject of criticism of a Nationals event. Regardless of input, all contributions are valuable in determining what constitutes success in an event of this type. With regard to the upcoming 2010 Monaro Nationals, a unique opportunity in ensuring the event is enjoyed by all exists here on Fastlane. The question is, "What would make a great event in your eyes?".

What is needed are suggestions for all aspects of the event, so that at completion we dont see a repeat of some of what came out of the 2008 event.

Surely with the vast knowledge of forum contributors here, the event committee can only benefit by your suggestions. Let's all help make the 2010 event something to remember for the right reasons.

Tony

For a start the committee needs to KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. and UNDERSTAND the judging system. If you get that right, the rest of the weekend will flow smoothly as well.

Consider other activites for the ladies. At Loxton they had bus tours to a wine

Excellent point about local entertainment there Paul.

Ive been involved in a number of multiple-day (and week-long) car events at country town/city locations. Most local councils will do all they can to extoll the virtues of their locality - including

That was the other thing that I forgot to mention, but you pointed out Mick, The powerpoint display at the presentations to show a picture of the car that just won the trophy. It makes such a difference to actually see the car that won, not just hear a
