hi im painting a tray on an old truck on the weekend and want to know how to paint acrylic paint.
how much paint do I mix with thinners?
How much clear do I mix with thinners?
Do i have to rub it back at all between coats?
Do i have to rub it back at all before the clear goes on and should i give it a rub with fine wet and dry when finished or not?

I mix my acrylic about 1 part paint to 1.5-2.0 parts thinners. Usually I use a bit more thinners on the later coats. Yes rub back with 1200 wet and then prepsol before applying the clear coat.

With the final clear coat, let it cure for at least a week before rubbing
it back. Give it a buff and you should have a really deep shine.
