Hi just picked up a XW and it has 2 Compliance plates i know my MK1 capri had 2 but i remember my XY only had 1 do they all have 2 ??

Your Capri must have been very late '72 build to have 2 plates, what model was it?.
An XW should not have two plates - does the info on them match up to the car?

The Capri was 72 a English GT XLR 1600 4 speed I will go check on the XW and let you know

Sounds like your Capri was possibly imported at a later stage and had an Australian compliance plate affixed along with its English build plate.
I've not had too much to do with Falcons, only owning one (XB Fairmont) in the past, but I know that the XW

The 2 plate system only started in 1973. All Fords from 1972 back only had the one ID plate.
