I have always wondered why people want to make replica gt's or replica monaro's and now it seems to be the ss's turn.
I am not having a go at anyone I would like to know what drives people to spend soooo much money in making up a replica G.T when the skill work and effort they put into their car may be overlooked as people go "{Nice Replica But its not the real deal.)"
Could you imagine if they put that same skill effort and workmanship into their own ideas imagine what sort of neat custom looking X series falcons we would have around.
If I had the money to purchase a replica already done I think I would prefer to save up the extra cash for a genuine GT.
Take XY's for example I can get a really great replica for $50,000-$60,000+ and can pick up an original XY GT for $100,000 yes its alot of money but the depreciation and sheer volume of replicas now are going to Flood and kill the market and makes the genuine buy more logical doesn't it.

I think it is because the availability of originals is the issue then the affordability. People fall in love with the style of a car so they go ahead with the next best thing ie- a replica. If you like something you go ahead with it and it does not matter

I don't mind the reps as I think alot of original cars don't see the lite of day very much.
The other good thing about reps is the owners are probably willing to give'em a bit of stick and not rap them up in cotton wool!
Of coarse the obvious downside t
