The "REAL" bathurst race is a fortnight away, and as usual there is little publicity. Why do the car companies not make a big deal of it? It is after all the production car race, the one from which Aussie muscle cars were born. These are the cars we can actually buy, just the way it should be.I think its great and can only improve the product, whichever brand you choose.
Cheers.

Manufacturers these days, for the most part, couldnt seem farther removed from production racing. Nothing like the "win on sunday, sell on monday" glory days...which are sadly nothing more than a DVD for us young fellas.

Your right Robbo. most people i come across would like to see how a commodore SS would go against a XR8 or a XR6 turbo. but they only have a couple of commodores & falcons. the rest is full of jap & Porsche rubbish. or i would of gone down to see them. i

Hi,
The 12 Hour has been run and won by the superior car. There is a lot of interest in this race contrary to the views of some. For instance, Holden poured a lot of money into the entries for this year for little reward. Ford entered two Falcon models

Just looking at the results (http://www.bathurstmotorfestival.com.au/live_results.asp) I think 9th for a VE SS is a great result. The Lancers are obviously one helluva car, but arent they a full blown factory race car like a GTR? Good to see the (incorrec |
