Hi Folks
I've just replaced the clutch master cylinder on a Mazda 626 (92 model) and the pedal feels very light and hesitates for a moment before returning from the floor when i lift off, the car wont go into gear either. I've bled the system as per the instructions in the manual. Any suggestions re other things i need to be checking here? I know it's a Mazda but think Telstar if it helps. :)

Sounds like you still have air in the system (not getting full stroke at the slave cylinder) or the rod adjuster needs adjusting if possible or may be the wrong length. Why did you replace it in the first place?

It was leaking from the rear into the cabin. I have now reverse bled the system which has fixed the initial problem but the pedal is right down in the carpet now. I'll have a look at adjusting the push rod length tomorrow.
