Welcome to the forum.

There was a few guys discussing these cars recently http://www.fastlane.com.au/foru...topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=20095 - hopefully they will read your post and comment with real facts!

But from a quick Google, hopefully a go

About all I can add is that the body number puts it around early 1982.

I think the "X" in the trim code indicates a two tone trim combination, is yours two tone and what is on the seat tops, velour or cloth?

My 381 pack SL/E is 79Y which is Claret with velour seat tops.

The trim combo code is exterior & interior trim.
The 4 digit number is the paint combo.
The 2 number/1 letter is the interior combo.

With the interior combo, the 2 numbers tell you the colour, and the letter tells you the trim material.

In an SL/E

Mick
