What is the story with the WB? Some say they were still made in 1985. i think they must of ended before the black motor in Aug 84? And did the HZ end in Feb 1980 and WB start in mar 1980. WB must be the longest running model Holden ever. I have seen a HZ with the original 9/12/79.date, 202 red motor with ZL prefix and 3.3L block casting. with blue motor exhaust valve rotators. maybe its why the ZL prefix came in?

You could be right, They only made WB Statesmans & commercials due to the Commodore taking over from the "Belmont/Kingswood/Premier" role. I do not know when they ended production of the WB... Dr Terry ? Gary T www.hdhrholden.comwww.oldsmobi |

WB were still made into 1985. I used to own a 12/84 253 M20 1-tonner. HZ did run into 1980 calendar year. Not sure how far though. Z prefix was introduced into HZ and UC mid 1978 as the Q prefix had reached Qx999999. About the same time as VB Commodore |

Just trying to get the history books right. I think there is no difference in a 5.0L blue motor and a black 5.0L VK motor, only colour. so the WB series 2 after 3/84 is the same? and i am on about WB statesmans. Now to the WB ute, p van, 1 tonne. (3.3L)

VK carby engine got EST and black motors were different heads to blue. I wouldnt be surprised if WB blue stuff was stockpiled
