I have heard its the same as the L34 torana setup.

Deffinately not the same as the L34 Torana, L34 Torana had a manual choke.

Your dead right RelicarSLR, I got my wires crossed. The 308 Q jet on the L34 is the same as HT monaro with QJet and manual choke.

Page 119 of the HT Parts book has an excellent picture of the Choke set up even though its a 253 , its very similar. I made one once for a friends HG 308 and was a lot of work. HT HG HQ LH HJ Use a Manifold Heat riser system and the L34 uses a proper manu
