Can someone please advise me what colour was the engine bay sprayed?
Also, what is the difference between the 3-speed gearboxes in the HK-G range? I have been told that the HK-early HT 3 speed is different from the late HT - HG 3 speed.

DP is just about correct. The very early HKs had a gloss Warrigal black engine bay, but after tht its just a satin mixture of whaever paint was left over from the last shift.
