I have a vk standard commodore where the fuel gauge is not working..are all fuel gauges for vks the same..i am getting different information from the autoelectrician and spare parts dealers and not being very knowledgeable on this myself i would greatly appreciate any advice...are there two types?..ie is there one that screws in seperate to the instrumentation cluster and one that cannot...thankyou

for memory there is no difference, maybe just take it out and find out, or just replace the hole dash it would probably be easier Edited by user Friday, 20 March 2009 7:06:03 AM(UTC)

In VK, the fuel gauge itself is the same on all models, except the calais had the digital dash.
The sender units vary, due to the EFI, and later on the V8 having an electric fuel pump.
You need to work out if the gauge is at fault, or the sender is |
