howzit,looking for a good gearbox for my 253 a guy was telling me that a 88 comodore box would suit but still think a celica box would still be better,and they bolt straight on aswell,any help and advice would be great cheers

If your 253 is a trimatic pattern block, then the later boxes will not bolt up.
An 89 onwards VN-VS V8 T5 will bolt up to a turbo pattern block though.
Celica boxes, with the right aftermarket bellhousing can bolt up, but are fragile behind the torque |
