Hello fello restorers,
Ive sandblasted & painted the subframe, put new rubbers in the suspension. But could someone shed some light on the best way to go here, or what have you done on your resto as i would like to get the brake/fuel lines looking like new if possible. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance Anton

hey mate.
to do mine, i just do what hot rodders do.
Buy the brass piping in a roll, and just unroill how much you need. use a flare tool to flare the end and voila.. new looking brake line ;)
except i painted mine black.. made it nice and inconspicuou

Brake lines require a double flare. You can buy these tools from the internet or simply go to your local brake repairer. Also I suspect brass is too soft and the original bundy tube would be alot safer. Who would risk brake failure for a few dollars?

you need a flaring tool that does double flare for brakes

I doubt it would be brass tubing. It would more likely be copper tubing, which is quite common & much cheaper than brass.

The problem with copper tubing though, is that it is illegal to use on brake systems in cars. It hardens with age to become brittl

DOC is correct, steel bundy, only way to go, but have fun, it takes a little practice to get them right!!

No other option but steel bundy tube. James, (pont69), do consider re making your lines in the correct material as the last thing anyone needs is trying to explain why their brakes failed in a fatal accident due to incorrect material being used. The power
