Gday everyone im building a vk v8 race car on the cheap for anyone whos interested in following its development.I started with a 1 owner vk 6 cylinder body which has been stripped of all its interior.Today i picked up a vn v8 5 speed burnt out wreck from the auction for 300 bucks the motor will be stripped down heads ported by my brother, bigger cam and a carby/ manifold will be fitted.It will be a hillclimb and club sprint day car.Photos will be posted tomorrow.

Sounds like a good interesting story. I wouldnt port VN heads though if you are leaving it as a 304, they are big enough standard. Maybe a small clean up would be OK.

Great thats what im after some good advice, used to buildind s/b ford motors so o know nothing about v8 holden motors.Removed the motor from the burnt out wreck yesterday so was a bit bugged and will try to put up some photos today.

picked up a 280-2 crane cam,vt ss heads, torque power single plane,750dp,geni try ys.Pic are comming soon sorry fellas coputa got sick.

Keep an eye on Ebay, they pop up often enough, hopefully youll score some suitable ones.

Im Crook atm but i have scored a nyce set of wheels 17x9 kikimoto 3 piece,wheels are being drilled to suit as we speak and also got a set of bilstiens a crane hi6r ignition from usa and definatly will post some photos soon cheers jim
