Hi guys, looking to upgrade my capri to v8 what would be your sugestions on which engine, gearbox,axel,ect.
currently i have the 280 capri or will have when it arrives..

A 302 or 5.0 Windsor would be the choice pick for a Capri. Diff wise the MK3 is wide enough to take a Centura rear end (they are a bit too wide for a MK1).

As for the gearbox it depends on whether you want auto or manual. If manual I would say a T5 i

No we don't have the Scorpio but we didn't get the 280 or any MK3 either.

It's your car but the 2.9 would preserve it's value as a rare classic more because the conversion involves no cutting of the body.

It's a sob story really. I dislike autos with a passion but the Wife won't drive a manual.

My daily driver is a manual EB Falcon and it's the second manual EB Falcon that I have owned much to her chargrin. The first one I had new before I met her. It'

G'day,my first car was a 1969(I think,its been a while!)Ford Capri.

Believe it or not it came with a 2 litre V4 and auto,it was a private import from Sth Africa.The V4 was just a V6 with two cylinders cut off.

Anyway I blew the V4 up and put in an e
