Does anyone know the part number of the alternator for the HQ350? I have a bosch alt with 3 inch pulley which came off a 010 block and want to check whether or not its original. It has a yellow sticker on it just like the HK-HG alt, but has external brushes.

What do you mean by external brushes ? All alternator brushes are internal.
Voltage regulators can be internal or external but all prior to HJ were external.

i meant removable bushes from the rear rather than pulling apart the alternator. The yellow label has 9 120 060 644 on it with U-K1 14v 35 A20.

Hi Arthur ,Are you sure its not "664" as that is HQ 350 til mid 73 (without air con type) Bosch Alternator . You have put it down as "644" but i think you will have made a typo error . If its HQ bring it over and i will swap for a restored HK you need.

Hi,
And it should be said that James does excellent work on his products. They are the best by a country mile. I have seen one in the flesh and it was exactly the same as the unit on my car. Well done James.
