have a 9 inch diff ,have been told its out of early mustang it has a tag how do i see if it is,also what would it be worth, i aquired it with a 289 engine which also told goes into early mustang, what would it be worth , helpless female , please can i get some advice.

If u can post numbers off tag on here im sure 1 of us will tell you what it is.If it is early Mustang as you say it could be an 8 3/4" diff

Is the 8 3/4 diff you refer to a borgy or similar resemblance to a 9 inch? I had 1 and sold it as a 9 inch, it was just a shorter housing and axles.

I have an 8 3/4 inch diff (XY legnth) that i bought thinking it to be a 9 inch. They are very simillar to each other (Sorry can't remember how my mate said to tell them apart).
I often hear of the Borgy refered to as an 8 inch but them be totally diffren
