Hi,i need a new gearbox and after talking to a few guys was thinking of putting a fully manualised trimatic in. The cars a vh 308, havent had it on the dyno yet but if all has gone right with the motor it should be running a little over 300hp. Just wondering about your experiences with these boxes...are they any good for the street/ a run at the drags now and again? Thanks

I have a manualised Trimatic behind my supercharged 202. The motor is built only for torque, not revs. The box is very nice operation with only a low rpm torque converter. I think with a high revving motor a high stall would be more relevant. |
