Does anyoneknow who itis that can make replacement tags that are missing? I have a compliance plate id like to restore to the car.

Harrisons in QLD. ALthough its not just a matter of getting a tag replaced. There is a fair amount of hoops to jump through to prove the identity of the car involved. And its not cheap.

i told harrisons where to get them from the states, i got a set from my car ,then every prick bitched,
i dont think he would do 81837 tags anymore, he,s in the u.s.
he send them through the mail im sure they would be on to it by now.

Ive seen a set done for a VK SS that used the font from the HK era.
You could spot them a mile away, so they obviously arent trying to replicate them down to the fine details on all Holdens - ie to pass them off as genuine tags.

he had tags from late ht on up the like vl, i had to send him a hk set to make, so i guess he match my font up,
he sends you pics of all the tags you tell him witch one,s you want and tell him the numbers etc.

The whole replacment tag stuff is a mine field. If you have damaged tags the problem is easy, just send old tags and hey presto.

If not how do you "varify" a car.

ie if I have a stripped HG 308 GTS body how do I tell what colour/trim and if 350 or 3

i agree with warren,how do you verify the car.
i bought my hk cause i like the hk coupe shape, not for some number on a tag.
this is where some people totaly loose sight, it all about the number and whats it,s worth.
i bought what i believe to be a hk
