Having a look around i notice that there are a lot of HJ GTS/4 cars painted with the HX Style blackouts (bonnet and along the site with the shadowed GTS).
Did the HJ come out with this style late in the day or is this a personal preference for the more distinctive HX.

This is a HX design, people painted their Hj GTS cars this way as its a better look than the HJ paint outs.
