I have a EB (series 1 I think?) station wagon with a dying engine but the rest of it is ok. I have an EL sedan with a good engine but a blown gearbox and I can't register it again (long story...anyway, I can't drive this car anymore).
Will the EL engine etc go into the EB ? Both cars are complete but the EL doesn't drive on account of the screwed gearbox.
Wondering what other parts from the EL will go over to the EB?... remote central locking system perhaps ?
Just investigating for now.......be interested in what you guys think...
thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

The easiest way to fit the EL engine into an EB1 would be to use all of the EB1's accessories and manifold on the 4.0 engine.
I have explored the idea of adding the Smartlock including it's remote central locking from a late EB2 into my ear

EB1 also has the side markers. I was just telling him the easiest way to distinguish them apart not all differences. EA and EB1 have 3 inch front speakers in the doors EB2 on have 6 inch speakers in the doors and 4 speakers as standard on the base models. Edited by user Sunday, 26 April 2009 9:25:13 AM(UTC)
