Hello , Can anyone tell me the difference or point me into the right direction as im wanting to know if there is a difference between solid and hyd cams/lifters. most cars run the hyd stuff so whats the reason to go solid, does this depend on how much horse power your about to throw around . Any help would be appreciated.

I think when you go for a high lift cam it is best to go to solid as the sharp angle of the cam would just flog out the lifters. Thats how I see it anyway. I think when you go around 600 thou valve lift or more you need solid lifters.
